Several Cumberland Middle School students were selected to participate in the ILMEA Jr. Vocal Jazz Festival at Millikin University on November 3rd! The students rehearsed all day with other top music students from around central Illinois and performed a concert for the public. Mrs. Kingery's 8th grade English class completed a comma escape room game recently. Students had to identify where commas belonged in sentences and paragraphs. Students also matched comma rules to sentences. A secret code was given at each station for students to decipher after working through all four stations. 8th graders had a great time learning about commas and trying to escape the game!
