Yesterday, seniors in Mr. Hall’s Civics classes debated various scenarios regarding the Second Amendment. After being presented with specific statements, students selected a stance and defended their positions through respectful dialogue. This session is a well-known highlight of the class, often attracting visiting students, teachers, administrators, and the SRO to participate!










Students in the Clothing and Textiles course are mastering both hand-stitching and machine-sewing techniques. They are currently applying these skills to a series of seam samples and a custom pillow project.

We are proud of the Pirates basketball team on a great season. Tonight, they fell to Casey-Westfield 50-45 in the Regional championship. Thanks to the seniors for their commitment to the team and representing Cumberland well.
Our elementary and middle school students had a blast visiting the FFA Petting Zoo today. There’s nothing quite like seeing those smiles when they get to meet a new furry or feathered friend!










Mrs. Kristie Thomas and the Foods II students would like to thank Maple Ridge Pest Solutions, owned by Derek and Katy Light, for the generous donation of strawberries to our classes. The Lights purchased the boxes of fresh Florida berries from the FFA fundraiser. Students made strawberry shortcakes containing sweet white cakes, sweetened strawberries, and homemade whipped cream. They were a treat! 🍓

The CHS Scholastic Bowl team competed at the National Trail Conference in St. Anthony on February 26 and placed 1st overall! The team had two members make the first team and one member make the second team. Jad Shoot made 2nd team with 37 tossups, 7th place overall, Camden James made 1st team with 67 tossups, 2nd place overall, and Rylan James made 1st team with 78 tossups, 1st place overall and MVP! Rylan also earned his 1000th tossup at the tournament! Congratulations to all!

Cumberland Drama will present Descendants the Musical on Friday, 3/13, at 7 PM, Saturday, 3/14, at 7 PM, and Sunday, 3/15, at 2 PM at the Toledo Christian Church.
