Brandon Miller Spoke at FCA Yesterday

Students in Fellowship of Christian Athletes met on February 8 and heard from Brandon Miller, CMS baseball coach. Brandon explained that genes play an important role in athletic ability, but there are always exceptions to the rule. Genes do not determine our destiny, they create an opportunity - God has made each one of us with a special purpose in mind. He encouraged the athletes to find the areas that God has gifted them in, stay focused,  and put in the hard work to achieve their personal goals.

According to James Clear in Atomic Habits, “The secret to maximizing your odds of success is to choose the right field of competition. The people at the top of any competitive field are not only well trained, but they are also well suited to the task. This is why, if you want to be truly great, selecting the right place to focus is crucial.”

Students enjoyed breakfast that was provided by the Toledo United Methodist Church.

The next meeting will be on Thursday, February 22.
