Today is Matchy Match Day for the ABCs Countdown to Summer in the elementary and middle schools!

Today, the Soil and Water Conservation Department spoke to the 3rd grade students about the importance of trees in honor of Arbor Day. The students each received a sapling to take home and plant. The Soil and Water Conservation Department also helps fund the third grade field trip to Ballard Nature Center!

The second grade is full of life! The students have been studying life cycles and have a lot going on in their classrooms. They have plants growing, chicks hatching, caterpillars changing into chrysalises, and some tadpoles. Mrs. Peters' class even found a surprise stowaway in the pond water for the tadpoles.

For their last social-emotional lesson of the year, the elementary students played games with the counseling staff that taught teamwork, good sportsmanship, kindness, and communication skills.

Join our team! The Cumberland schools have openings in the following areas. Please share with those who may be interested.
*Elementary School Teacher
