Today is Principal Appreciation Day! Thank you to our principals who lead with care, support their schools, and make a difference every day. We appreciate you!

This week is National School Bus Safety Week. Please help us to keep all students safe by following these procedures. IT IS THE LAW!
What to do when you see a school bus:
SLOW DOWN: Yellow flashing lights means the bus is preparing to stop!
STOP COMPLETELY: You MUST come to a complete stop when the red lights are flashing and/or the stop arm is extended. This applies to traffic in BOTH directions.
WAIT TO PROCEED: DO NOT begin moving until the red lights are off, stop arm is retracted and the bus begins to move.
BE EXTRA CAUTIOUS: Children are at the highest risk in the area around a school bus, often called the “danger zone”. They can be unpredictable and may dart into the street.
What to avoid:
NEVER pass on the right: This is the side where children enter and exit the bus, and it is illegal and can be fatal.
AVOID Distractions: Stay focused on the road AT ALL TIMES! Avoid using electronic devices.
Legal Requirement: All states require drivers to stop for a stopped school bus with flashing red lights and an extended stop arm.
