We are excited to offer a second Shoe Tree distribution for our students this year. Families experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to complete this form for qualifying students to receive a free pair of shoes. Shoes will be distributed through the school in mid-February.

Please submit this form by January 19, 2026.

Planning is already underway for the Shoe Tree fall distribution for the 2026–27 school year. A separate form for that distribution will be sent out in May.

Thank you for being flexible and understanding as we work through our water issue.

In preparation for tomorrow’s school day, we will be under a boil water order.
We will have bottles of water available for our students as necessary. If you are able to, please send a water bottle with your student to school tomorrow.

Our restrooms will be available for use, but our drinking fountains will not be available.
Food will be available like normal for breakfast and lunch in our cafeterias. Thank you for your support, CCUSD 77 Family!!

We have received word from the village of Greenup that they have been working on a leak most of the morning, and they now need to shut the tower down. We will be without water, but we will remain open and operating at our normal capacity for the remainder of the school day. The village is unsure, at this point, if there will be a boil order when they turn the water back on.

The girls wrestling tournament at Marion has been rescheduled for January 2nd. Weigh-ins will take place at 8:00 AM, and wrestling will begin at 9:00 AM.

We recently received a generous donation of 60 coats, socks, and hats from our local Amazon Hub, managed by Paul and Keri Marti. Paul entered the Hub to be considered for Amazon’s community donation program, which selects a limited number of locations to receive items for local distribution.

We’re thrilled that our Hub was chosen, and Paul was excited to help deliver these much-needed supplies to Cumberland schools, where they’ll go directly to students in need.

A heartfelt thank you to Amazon and the Martis for making this generous donation possible and helping keep our students warm this winter.

Cumberland schools will begin Thanksgiving Break with a 2:01 PM dismissal on Tuesday, November 25. There will be no school on Wednesday, November 26, through Friday, November 28. School resumes on Monday, December 1.
